Confident Diagnosis and Management of Seizure Disorders (London)

Seizure disorders and paroxysmal movement disorders are among the most common neurological presentations encountered in small animal practice and can present a significant diagnostic challenge for clinicians. Distinguishing epileptic seizures from non-epileptic episodic events, particularly paroxysmal dyskinesias, is essential for ensuring appropriate investigation, treatment and client communication. This course will provide a practical and evidence-based approach to the recognition, diagnosis and management of these conditions in both dogs and cats.

Throughout the day, case-based discussions and video examples will be used to illustrate common presentations and highlight important diagnostic clues. By the end of the course, you will be more confident in differentiating seizure disorders from paroxysmal dyskinesias and other episodic events, developing logical diagnostic plans, and implementing effective treatment strategies using the most up-to-date and evidence-based approach.
