    Acute abdomens present a unique challenge; reaching a diagnosis with so many different organ systems in one body cavity and then deciding if the condition is surgical, or not, can be daunting.

    This one-day theory course will map out a logical approach to the acute abdomen patient for the general practitioner, discussing the diagnosis, stabilisation, and indications for surgery in a range of emergency and urgent conditions.
