Practical Dentistry Masterclass

This solely cadaver-based practical day includes pre-course learning provided prior to the course date in the form of online videos. These comprehensive videos will help you to familiarise yourself with the theory you are expected to know ahead of the course, therefore allowing the whole day to be spent in practical sessions.

The course will comprehensively cover oral examination, probing and charting techniques, plus the administration of local anaesthetic nerve blocks. The remainder of the day will be spent on extraction techniques with particular focus on the canines and carnassials, as well as root tip retrieval.

• Oral cavity examination and documentation of findings
• Safe use of local anaesthetic nerve blocks during dental extractions
• Extraction techniques including mucogingival flap design, sectioning of multi-rooted teeth and root tip retrieval
