Boost your skills in small animal internal medicine with a Central CPD PGCert

The Central CPD Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine gives vets practical training to diagnose and Boost your skills in small animal internal medicine with a Central CPD PGCert manage complex medical cases often seen in practice.

You’ll develop better problem-solving skills with logical approaches to clinical challenges, and strengthen your diagnostic abilities. By the end, you’ll be able to assess, manage, and treat internal medicine cases with greater expertise and assurance.

Course Content

The PGCert (SAIM) runs part-time over 52 weeks, with an option to extend for another year. It follows a blended learning format, with some modules requiring in-person attendance at Central CPD’s facilities in London.

Course outcomes

The PGCert (SAIM) is validated by the University of West London and is placed at master’s Level 7 within the Quality Assurance Agency’s higher education framework.

It provides 60 transferable academic credits towards the 180 required for a master’s degree. On completion, we expect participants to be able to pursue further career opportunities in a range of settings.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold a veterinary qualification and be on the RCVS Register
  • Any applicants outside the UK must hold a veterinary qualification that would entitle them to register as a member of the RCVS
  • Applicants must be able to attend the in-person sessions
  • Applicants must have spent a minimum of one year in veterinary practice and should have completed the RCVS Professional Development Phase of Veterinary Graduate Development Programme (vets graduating before 2007 are exempt)
