  • Description

Sarcomas are one of the ‘big three’ categories of tumours and can vary significantly in presentation from relatively benign to some of the most aggressive tumours we treat in cats and dogs. This one-day course with Sarah Stewart will provide a complete overview on sarcomas with all the latest updates from the oncology literature, and arm you with the knowledge and tools to confidently approach these cancer cases in your practice.

This course will cover sarcoma essentials and tumour biology, including the general oncologic treatment approaches common across all sarcoma types (surgery, radiation therapy, electrochemotherapy, injectable chemotherapy and oral metronomic chemotherapy) giving you the knowledge to make the choice of when each is most appropriate to employ.

    Topics to be covered include:

    • Haemangiosarcoma
    • Osteosarcoma
    • Soft tissue sarcomas
    • Feline injection site sarcomas
    • Tips on referral: how to differentiate the cases you can comfortably manage yourself from those where referral and collaborative management between general practitioner and specialist can improve patient outcomes

I have had the pleasure of using Central CPD for a number of years. Whether it be attendance courses in a number of locations. I have always received great CPD, professionalism from the staff and best of all, EXCELLENT snacks and lunches!

What a great day - sharing knowledge, learning, asking questions, delicious food, modern pleasant setting - highly recommended.

Stella Coulson - Ash Tree Vets

Without doubt the best online and in-person CPD available to the veterinary industry. They have exceptional clinicians running the courses and offer excellent value. The annual online CPD practice membership is absolutely fantastic. A brilliant team behind the scenes. I cannot recommend highly enough.
