Stephen Shaw

Steve Shaw qualified from the RVC in 1987. He spent 4 years in practice before becoming Junior Clinical Fellow in dermatology at the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket. He gained his RCVS Certificate in Dermatology in 1992 and his PhD, studying canine atopic dermatitis, in 2000. From 2001 to 2006 he was head of dermatology at the AHT and from 2006 to 2009 worked at Rutland House Referrals in St Helens. He gained his RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology in 2011.

Steve now works as an independent dermatology consultant seeing cases in the Midlands and is the National Dermatology Advisor for Guide Dogs. He is an examiner for the RCVS CertVD.
