Elly Russell

Elly is a small animal veterinary surgeon with over 15 years clinical experience in first opinion practice. She holds a post graduate certificate in Advanced Veterinary practice and has a PhD in communication and veterinary patient safety. Elly is passionate about helping veterinary teams communicate well and establish a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Her areas of interest include Human Factors, systems-thinking and resilience engineering which she applies to Quality Improvement approaches that help veterinary teams to deliver great care. Elly lead communication training at VDS before moving to Vets 4 Pets as Quality Improvement manager. She delivers impactful training that helps veterinary teams tackle conversations confidently and communicate in a way that improves outcomes and job satisfaction.
