Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery Specialist
RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue)
European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery
I graduated and spent time in mixed and then small animal practice before doing an internship at the Royal Veterinary College, followed by a PhD at Cambridge University. I then completed a three years surgical residency programme and passed the exams to become a Diplomate of ECVS in 2000 and also passed the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery in 2003. I am a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue) and a FRCVS. In 2006 I set up a multidisciplinary small animal referral hospital in Hampshire, now known as Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists and is one of the largest referral centres in the UK. I left Anderson Moores in 2021 but continue to be actively engaged with the Specialist community, and continue to speak at international and national meetings, as well as continuing education talks to veterinary practitioners. I have examined both vets and nurses at undergraduate and post graduate Specialist level and have been the President of the Association of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery, President of the European College of Veterinary Surgery and am a founder member of the British College of Veterinary Specialists. I am interested in all aspects of soft tissue surgery, at all levels of expertise, and recognise the important role that general practitioners play in providing surgical treatments for their patients.
