Description
Diagnostic ultrasound is an invaluable tool in small animal practice, allowing clinicians to assess internal structures quickly and non-invasively. This introductory course is designed for veterinary surgeons with limited ultrasound experience who want to develop a practical foundation in ultrasonographic examination.
Through a combination of focused teaching and extensive hands-on scanning sessions, you will learn how to set up and optimise ultrasound equipment, recognise normal anatomy and obtain standard scanning views. The course concentrates on systematic examination of the abdominal organs and introduces basic echocardiographic imaging.
By the end of the course you will have greater confidence in performing routine ultrasound examinations, recognising normal structures and identifying common abnormalities encountered in small animal practice.
