The Emergency Patient: ECC in Practice series:

This learning series with Tom Towey takes a focused practical approach to the recognition of life-threatening conditions and their stabilisation in first opinion practice. It looks at initial assessment, diagnosis, and stabilisation of common emergency presentations using the facilities typically available. The value of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is highlighted in triage of emergency patients and diagnosis of various conditions, including haemoabdomens and pleural effusions. Common pitfalls that occur in practice are also discussed and useful tips given to help you feel more confident when treating the emergency patient!

ECC Techniques and Procedures series:

This learning series with Duana McBride will equip you with the skill set for managing challenging emergency cases and critically ill patients in your practice. There are a variety of skills required when managing these intricate cases, including respiratory care, tricky venous access, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, just to name a few.
