This learning series with Turlough O’Neill is the final installation of a trilogy including A Practical Introduction to Orthopaedics and Moving On With Orthopaedics
The series focuses on more complicated orthopaedic presentations, particularly the theory, decision making and execution of advanced fracture repair, joint injury and instability as well as the use of corrective osteotomies to restore limb alignment and joint function. The series covers joint disease and considers various therapies including newer opinions for its treatment, regenerative medicine and non-surgical therapies.
Practical videos will demonstrate the approach to most joints with a view to exploration, reduction and stabilisation of both minor and major joints. The videos examine salvage procedures like arthrodesis and then evaluate repairs, discussing the strengths and weaknesses of each. This will help anticipate potential complications, allowing you to modify outcomes and improve future cases.
This learning series is aimed at veterinary surgeons who are happy with basic fracture repair and want to increase their skills. We recommend you view A Practical Introduction to Orthopaedics and Moving on With Orthopaedics but it can be viewed in isolation.
