Rachael Birkbeck

DVM PGCert MVetMed DACVECC MRCVS

ECC Diplomate and Vet Intern/Resident Support Officer

I completed my residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the Royal Veterinary College. Currently I work at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Hospital alongside 4 other specialists in ECC. Before moving into a referral setting, I worked sole charge out-of-hours in primary care practice, as such I can empathise with the challenges experienced by colleagues on the front line. Although I enjoy clinical work and research, the aspects of my job I love the most are mentoring and teaching, it’s great getting being part of someone else’s success!
