Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the University of Cambridge

Laura Owen is Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the University of Cambridge, where she leads in the clinical, teaching, and curriculum development aspects of soft tissue surgery. A European and RCVS-recognised specialist, she has particular interests in urology, oncology, brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS), wound management, reconstructive procedures, and minimally invasive surgery.

Alongside her academic and clinical work, she lectures internationally and contributes to postgraduate training through external CPD. Laura also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery and is a published author of several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles.
