Becky graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2008. After a short spell in first opinion small animal practice, she completed a 12 month rotating internship in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Liverpool. Upon conclusion of this internship, Becky spent a further 6 months in first opinion practice before embarking on a 3 year residency programme in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2010. She passed her European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2013 and subsequently became an RCVS recognised specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia. She spent the next year working as a Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh. In October 2014 Becky joined the Animal Health Trust where she worked for two years as a senior clinician in veterinary anaesthesia. During this time she was successfully awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in recognition of her teaching experience in Higher Education. Becky joined the anaesthesia team at Davies Veterinary Specialists in November 2016; she takes an active role contributing to in-house staff training and enjoys working in the multidisciplinary environment with its varied caseload. Over the years Becky has authored a number of peer reviewed research journal articles, CPD articles and a chapter in the most recent edition of BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Outside of work, Becky enjoys horse riding, walking and spending time with her Border Terrier, Piper.
