Professor of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Honorary Associate Professor of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, University of Nottingham.

European and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Abby graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2001. She spent 5 years in small animal practice in Kent, during which time she developed an interest in small animal diagnostic imaging and got the RCVS Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging in 2006. This interest led to a residency at Cambridge, and the European Diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2009.

Since then, she has been working as an imager in referral practice, currently working at Granta Veterinary Specialists. During this time on clinics, she has mentored a number of imaging residents through their specialist training. Alongside this, she has enjoyed teaching vets about diagnostic imaging and in particular about ultrasound; and also works in teleradiology.

Abby has published a number of peer reviewed research papers in the field of clinical diagnostic imaging, and is an author of several book chapters in the field. Her current active research interests include imaging of the feline hepatobiliary tract.

Abby is a past Chair of the European Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, and has served on the board and examination committees of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
