Dental radiography is one of the most important tools available to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases. It is estimated that as much as 70% of pathology can be missed without its use, which is a great disservice to our patients. By working together, vets and vet nurses can quickly obtain diagnostic full mouth dental radiographs in the dog and cat, ultimately leading to time savings.
This learning series, with Rachel Perry, is suitable for both vets and vet nurses and covers all aspects of dental radiography in the dog and cat. Oral radiography techniques are shown in lecture and group discussion format, with practical sessions on positioning and radiographic technique. Dental radiology (radiographic interpretation) is also covered allowing veterinary surgeons to treat and diagnose, whilst giving the veterinary nurse a further understanding of how to create a diagnostic image.
