A five-part learning series for vets with Georgina Fricker.
With the current popularity of brachycephalic breeds in the UK, practitioners are increasingly encountering canine corneal and ocular surface conditions. Using case-based discussion this course aims to provide practitioners with confidence in approaching common disorders of the canine cornea and pre-corneal tear film. The series provides delegates with tools for discussion of these conditions and the treatment options available to owners.
Beginning with an overview of the ophthalmic examination and top tips for the sampling of the eye, this course then moves on to cover the diagnostic approach and treatment options for various corneal conditions including traumatic injuries, corneal opacities, corneal masses, dry eye and keratitis, to name a few. Specific conditions affecting brachycephalic breeds and an approach to their management will also be explored.
